Greenhand. $65,000 to $75,000 CAD a year, total compensation. No Class 1 needed. A full Class 5 licence, a relatively clean driver’s abstract and legally able to work in Canada. Magnum is open to hands relocating to Grande Prairie.

After some time with the company, Magnum puts hands through its own Class 1 driver training. Magnum lists benefits and performance based incentives, and says they fill most leadership roles from inside.

Lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs), bending, standing and climbing for long stretches. 15 days on, 6 off, on call 24 hours. Magnum is open to hands relocating to Grande Prairie. After some time with the company, they put hands through their internal Class 1 driver training.

Magnum Services was founded in 2008 and runs primary and remedial cementing across North America, with stations in Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Wyoming and North Dakota.

They build their own cementing units in house, in their own fabrication shop.

Most of their leadership and field supervisors were promoted from inside. In their words, the people leading the work have done the work.
