What This Job Is

You carry a book of accounts and grow it. Business to business, out in a company vehicle making calls on shops, yards and plants around Williston, working out what they burn through and what it is costing them.

This is the seat where time in the patch is the qualification. A hand who has been on a rig or in a shop knows what a crew actually needs and what happens when the part is not there. Fastenal wants an experienced salesperson, and they will take customer service or industry work experience in place of a degree.

Home every night and every weekend. The company vehicle is for making your calls during the workday. It is not a take-home truck and there is no personal use.

Duties

Supporting business to business (B2B) sales and customer service activities
Providing value to customer through a consultative sales approach
Developing new and growing existing relationships from leads, referrals and prospecting
Coordinating resources to respond to customer service needs
Performing local sales calls driving a company vehicle to customer sites
Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success

Where You'd Be

Fastenal runs this branch at 2211 2nd Ave W, Williston, North Dakota. Their crews service the shops, yards and plants around Williston.

Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. Pay starts at $60,000 between salary and commission, and goes up considerably with experience.

What You Need

A degree, held or in progress, in Business, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations or Management, or customer service or industry related work experience. 18 years of age or older. A current full valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Fastenal's requirements to use a company vehicle. Able to lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25 to 50 lbs and may weigh up to 75 lbs. Passes a drug screen and a background check required by a customer contract this branch services.
