What This Job Is

Winch truck driving out of Minot. You run in-field transportation and over-the-road hauling, moving drilling rigs, workover rigs, flowback equipment and other oilfield equipment to and from locations.

You load and unload the equipment, secure every load, and run what the day calls for: they have an array of trucks and trailers you may need to run day to day. There is shop work as well as trucking.

It takes a valid Class A CDL and medical card, a minimum of 2 years as a truck driver, and knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation.

Duties

• Run a winch truck on in-field transportation and over-the-road hauling.
• Move drilling rigs, workover rigs, flowback equipment and other oilfield equipment to and from locations.
• Load and unload the equipment and secure every load.
• Run what the day calls for: they have an array of trucks and trailers you may need to run day to day.
• Shop work as well as trucking. The trucking pays a percentage and the shop time pays by the hour.
• Drive safe, navigate and manage your time on every haul, and keep it legal under the DOT regulations.

Minot, North Dakota. North Country Construction & Rentals is a family owned and operated trucking company that has been servicing the Bakken for 20 years, focused on transportation and trucking for companies in the United States and Canada.

Their fleet runs winch trucks, sleeper trucks and hot shot pickups, pulling step decks, flatbeds, 55 ton RGNs, belly dumps and 40 ft goosenecks.

How The Pay Works

North Country pays a combination of percentage-based trucking pay and hourly shop pay: the trucking pays a percentage and the shop time pays by the hour.

Health insurance with 75% of a single plan paid, vision insurance, and safety equipment provided.

What You Need

• A valid Class A CDL and medical card
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation
