What This Job Is

Running saltwater disposal for Nor-Tana Safety Solutions, out of Watford City and working Dunn and McKenzie County.

Pumps, valves, tanks and transfer lines, routine inspections and light maintenance, and the daily data entry. You back up the pipeline side too: checking pressures, looking for leaks, minor repairs, and pigging under supervision.

SWD experience helps but is not required. They want at least 1 year in field operations and basic mechanical aptitude.

It is a W2 contract seat with the schedule set by the client, and Nor-Tana says there is strong potential for direct hire. A company vehicle comes with it for work and your daily commute.

Hands living in Dunn, McKenzie or Williams County or close by come first because of response times and rotating schedules, and so do hands willing to move there.

Duties

• Running a saltwater disposal site: pumps, valves, transfer lines and tank systems.
• Routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance on pumps, valves, motors, tanks and site equipment.
• Light maintenance, troubleshooting, and the daily data entry.
• Backing up the pipeline side: checking pressures, looking for leaks, minor repairs, and pigging under supervision.
• Emptying tanks, refilling fluids, site inspections and periodic SPCC inspections.
• Stop Work Authority whenever it is needed.

Where You’d Be

Watford City, North Dakota, working Dunn and McKenzie County.

$25 to $32 an hour, based on experience and demonstrated skill, plus overtime.

W2 contract. The client sets the schedule, with strong potential for direct hire.

Outdoor work in all weather, walking uneven ground on rural roads, farm properties, industrial sites and construction areas. Company provided PPE at all times.

What You Need

• At least 1 year in field operations: basic mechanical work, saltwater disposal, gathering line support or general midstream facility work
• Hands-on with pumps or oil and gas operations
• Able to troubleshoot mechanical issues and do general oilfield maintenance
• Basic computer skills, Microsoft Office
• A valid driver license and a clean driving record
• Subject to PHMSA and/or client drug and alcohol testing
