What This Job Is

You run the pump.

S&K is a 24-hour pumping service out of Watford City, with five 2500 HP quintuplex pumps and a 1000 HP pump. This is the seat that runs them: spot the unit, rig in, pump the job and rig out, with your pressure, rate and volume to watch the whole way.

On a pump down you bring the rate up and down on wireline's call while they get the plug and guns out to depth. Their pumps also run toe shoots, injection tests, acid flushes, gel sweeps, chemical squeezes, high rate flushes and clean outs.

It is a Class A seat, because you haul the unit yourself.

4 weeks on, 2 weeks off, and S&K provides housing for the hitch.

Duties

• Spotting the unit, rigging in, pumping the job and rigging out.
• Running the rate the job calls for and watching your pressure, rate and volume the whole way.
• Pre-trip and inspection on the truck and the pump before the unit leaves the yard.
• Keeping the unit up between jobs: greasing, packing, valves and seats, fluid ends and iron.
• Hauling the unit between the yard and location.

Where You'd Be

Watford City, North Dakota. Bakken work, out of a family owned and operated shop.

$32.50 to $45 an hour.

4 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Housing is provided for your hitch, and you get yourself to Watford City for it.

Interviews are in person when it works out, otherwise over the phone.

What You Need

• Valid Class A CDL
• A minimum of 1 year of operating experience
• At least 1 year in oil and gas
• Able to pass a DOT physical
• Clean driving record
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and a background check
