What This Job Is

You are the hands on the test.

S&K tests stacks, wellheads and valves. Ground crew is the seat that gets the equipment onto the well and back off it again. Iron made up, hoses run, lines rigged, and everybody clear before anything goes to pressure.

It is a Class A seat, so moving company equipment between the yard and location is part of the job on top of the work at the well.

4 weeks on, 2 weeks off, and S&K provides housing for the hitch.

Duties

• Rigging up and rigging down the test equipment on the wellhead, the frac stack and the BOP.
• Making up and breaking out iron, hoses and fittings, and getting lines run before a test starts.
• Backing up the tester on location: watching lines, holding the red zone, keeping people clear of pressure.
• Loading and unloading gear, keeping the truck stocked and the equipment clean and serviceable.
• Driving company equipment between the yard and location.
• Location cleanup and job paperwork when the test is done.

Where You'd Be

Watford City, North Dakota. Bakken work, out of a family owned and operated shop.

$30 to $35 an hour.

4 weeks on, 2 weeks off, with holidays, on call and overtime. Housing is provided for your hitch.

Interviews are in person when it works out, otherwise over the phone.

What You Need

• Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions
• A minimum of 1 year of oilfield experience
• Able to pass a DOT physical
• Clean driving record
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and a background check
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Able to work in all weather conditions
