Full DEF tank. Bad sensor read. Limp mode on location.

We've all seen it. Equipment that works perfectly fine getting forced into a shutdown because a $50 sensor decided to lie.

The EPA just pulled the DEF sensor requirement for ALL diesel equipment... every truck, every piece of iron, on-road and off. NOx sensors replace them. Phantom faults that have been killing productivity for years? Done.

This industry has been eating the bill on this for a long time. Bad reads stranding trucks on the shoulder. Equipment limping off location mid-job. Tow bills. Downtime. Calls you didn't want to make.

The SBA puts the total savings at $13.79 billion a year nationally. For oilfield, ag, and trucking... the people who actually keep this country running.

EPA also confirmed this doesn't touch emissions standards. The standard stays. The broken sensor that couldn't measure it right is gone.

More coming too... EPA has a full deratement removal proposal in the works for new engines.

Won't do a damn thing about your regen light though. You're still pulling over for that one.

How much has DEF cost you... in time, money, or jobs lost?
