What This Job Is

This one is inside the branch. Inventory counts and procurement, pulling orders and working the front counter. You keep the stock right, handle the purchase orders and backorders, quote prices and track down product, so the shops, yards and plants around Williston get what they ordered. Now and then you run a delivery in the company vehicle.

No CDL. A regular driver's license does it. Fastenal will take customer service or industry related work experience in place of a degree.

Home every night and every weekend.

Duties

Managing branch inventory levels
Administering procurement functions, including purchase orders and backorder management
Estimating/quoting prices and sourcing product
Coordinating resources to respond to customer supply chain needs
Supporting accounts receivable activities
Making deliveries with a company vehicle as necessary
Performing other duties as needed to ensure branch success

Fastenal runs this branch at 2211 2nd Ave W, Williston, North Dakota. Their crews service the shops, yards and plants around Williston.

Part time, 15 to 28 hours a week. Shifts fall Monday through Friday between 7:00am and 5:00pm.

What You Need

18 years of age or older. A current full valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Fastenal's requirements to use a company vehicle. A degree, held or in progress, in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Management, Marketing, Sales or a related field, or customer service or industry related work experience. Proficient computer skills and strong math. Able to lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25 to 50 lbs and may weigh up to 75 lbs. Passes a drug screen and a background check required by a customer contract this branch services.
