The entry level seat at Magnum's Grande Prairie station. You work under the Station Manager and learn Magnum's cementing equipment from the ground up.
On jobs you help get the crews ready to go out, help rig in and rig down on location, run the bulk unit, and clean up location after.
Back at the yard you wash and work on equipment and keep the shop, wash bay and yard squared away. Parts and tools back where they go, shop checklists, the laundry, oil changes on the company pickups, and a hand in the bulk plant when it needs one.
No Class 1 needed to start. After some time with the company, Magnum puts hands through its own Class 1 driver training. Magnum lists benefits and performance based incentives, and says they fill most leadership roles from inside.

$65,000-75,000 CAD a year, total compensation. No Class 1 needed. A full Class 5 licence, out of the GDL, and a relatively clean driver's abstract. Legally able to work in Canada. Pre-employment drug, alcohol and 50 lb fitness-to-work testing. Lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs), bending, standing and climbing for long stretches. 15 days on, 6 off, on call 24 hours. Magnum is open to hands relocating to Grande Prairie. After some time with the company, they put hands through their internal Class 1 driver training.
