Trump just walked out of a meeting with 20 oil CEOs and said they're investing $100 billion in Venezuela.
What did the CEOs say?
ExxonMobil's CEO: Called Venezuela "uninvestable" right now...needs the right conditions first.
ConocoPhillips' CEO: Said Venezuela still owes them $12 billion from when Chavez seized their assets.
Treasury Secretary Bessent said independent oil companies and wildcatters are blowing up their phones.
Here's the reality: If US companies drill Venezuela, most of those rig jobs go to Venezuelan workers. That's how international oil works.
American companies win. American workers? We'll see.
I'd rather see that $100 billion go into the Permian and the Bakken. American oil. American rigs. American jobs.
