Remember that post about Venezuela's oil? Here's what's happening as I type this:

Trump launched Operation Southern Spear in December...a full naval blockade on tankers going to Venezuela. At least 16 tankers are stuck in Venezuelan ports unable to leave.

Here's why this matters: Venezuela's Orinoco crude is so heavy (8-10° API) it's literally denser than water. It sinks. You can't pump it through pipelines without diluting it 20-40% with naphtha.

Chevron used to supply that naphtha. Biden cut them off. Venezuela turned to Russia. Now the US Navy is intercepting Russian tankers trying to deliver it.

No naphtha = no way to export the crude = their production grinds to a halt.

USS Stockdale already blocked the Russian tanker "Seahorse" multiple times in November. Some tankers are now painting Russian flags on their sides trying to claim Moscow's protection.

This is real-time economic warfare happening in the Caribbean right now, and it's directly targeting Venezuela's ability to export oil.

That's why I said this isn't a short-term opportunity. Even if the political situation stabilizes tomorrow, they've got massive infrastructure problems AND they're getting actively blockaded.
