Trump just announced Venezuela's interim authorities are turning over 30-50 million barrels of oil to the United States.

Energy Secretary Chris Wright has been ordered to execute immediately. Storage ships will bring it directly to U.S. docks.

Here's what's actually happening on the ground:

The U.S. is working with Venezuela's Vice President Delcy Rodríguez...the same regime they called illegitimate a week ago. She's now "cooperating" after Trump warned her she'd "regret it worse than Maduro" if she didn't.

So yeah. It's complicated.

This 30-50 million barrels is a drop in the bucket compared to what's sitting underground. Venezuela has 303 billion barrels. But their infrastructure is so fucked they can barely get it out of the ground, let alone ship it.

Don't expect this to change your paycheck anytime soon. This is political maneuvering, not a drilling boom.

When American crews actually start getting contracts to rebuild Venezuelan infrastructure, I'll let you know. Until then, it's all talk.

Stay tuned.
