You run the rig.
Raising and lowering the derrick, rigging up and down, and lifting, pulling and setting production equipment as the well operator calls for it. Most of how the job actually gets run is yours to call off what the well is doing that day.
It starts before the hitch. You put out the job and the meeting point, you drive the crew to location, and you confirm every hand is fit to work before anything turns.
Step up from top hand. The difference is the rig is yours and so is the crew.
Haynesville side, out of Waskom, Texas. Same trade on gas wells instead of oil.
Fortis Energy Services runs this yard at 1268 Magnolia Road, Waskom, Texas.
Starts at $27 an hour and moves with experience. Bonus opportunity on every seat.
Local hires only. Fortis is taking hands who already live within about 1.5 hours of Waskom, and the one exception is a hand bringing a full crew with him, which they will take a look at. No relocation assistance either way, so travel, a room and fuel are yours until you land on a rig that carries per diem.
Workover rig experience, at least 6 months of direct experience. Able to work in whatever weather the location hands you. Must be 18 or older. PEC or Well Control a plus, not required.
Applications go straight to Fortis Energy Services. No recruiters, no resume farms, no third party in the middle.
Fortis asks for a resume upload on every posting. Have the file on your phone before you start...their careers site will not take the application without one.
