What This Job Is
Hotshot work out of TTK’s Watford City yard, hauling equipment, tools and materials to drilling sites, production facilities and other oilfield locations, often on short notice. Full time.
You secure your own loads, plan your own routes, run your own pre-trip and post-trip inspections and keep your trip logs straight.
It takes a Class A CDL and real experience running heavy-duty trucks and trailers. TTK has housing available.
Duties
- Haul equipment, tools and materials to drilling sites, production facilities and other oilfield locations, often on short notice.
- Secure every load with the right tie-downs and equipment, to the safety rules and company policy.
- Plan your routes to save fuel and time and make every delivery on schedule.
- Do your pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the truck and trailer, and report mechanical problems or safety concerns.
- Run by the federal, state and local rules for commercial vehicles, hours of service and weight limits included.
- Keep dispatch and your supervisor posted on job status and delays, handle breakdowns and emergencies by the book, and keep your trip logs, delivery receipts and inspection reports accurate and on time.
Where You’d Be
Watford City, North Dakota. TTK Enterprises is a locally owned, family operated outfit founded in 2019, running roustabout, construction, light civil, trucking, contract pumping and hydrovac crews across Western North Dakota.
$25 to $30 an hour.
TTK has housing available if you’re coming from out of the area.
What You Need
- A valid Class A CDL with the endorsements the work calls for, such as hazmat and tanker
- A high level of experience running heavy-duty trucks and trailers: backing, tight spots and rough roads
- Basic mechanical know-how: checking fluids, changing tires and troubleshooting small problems
- Willing to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays included
- Lifting up to 65 pounds, outside in all weather
- A high school diploma or GED is typically required
- A plus: oil and gas experience, time on winch trucks, flatbed trailers or forklifts, knowing the oilfield roads, first aid or defensive driving training, hazmat training, and Spanish
